These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of AutoCertify — the website at autocertify.net, the dashboard, and the API (together, the “Service”). The Service is operated by Pcnaid Inc. (“AutoCertify,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you're using the Service on behalf of an organization, you're agreeing on its behalf and confirming you're authorized to do so.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing or using the Service you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may ask you to accept updated Terms from time to time; continued use after an update means you accept the change.
2. The Service
AutoCertify automates SSL/TLS for domains you control. In short, we:
- help you prove control of a domain through Domain Control Validation (DCV), typically with a single CNAME record you add once;
- request, install and renew publicly-trusted, domain-validated (DV) certificates issued through Cloudflare for SaaS and its Managed Certificate Authority;
- monitor delegation health and certificate validity, and alert you if something needs attention;
- expose the same capabilities over a REST API, with scoped API keys and signed webhooks.
We are not a certificate authority. Certificates are issued by the underlying CA through Cloudflare's infrastructure; AutoCertify orchestrates validation, issuance, installation and renewal on your behalf.
3. Accounts & eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials and API keys secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access. You may not share credentials or let others use your account in ways that violate these Terms.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service lawfully and only as intended. In particular, you agree that you will not:
- request, validate or install certificates for any domain you do not own or are not authorized to secure;
- use the Service to facilitate phishing, malware distribution, fraud, or any deceptive, abusive or illegal activity;
- attempt to circumvent domain validation, rate limits, quotas, or plan boundaries;
- resell, sublicense or redistribute the Service in a way not permitted by your plan, or in violation of these Terms or the terms of our providers;
- interfere with, overload, probe or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system or data;
- use the Service to secure content that infringes others' rights or that we're required to act on by law or by our providers.
We may suspend or remove domains, certificates or accounts that we reasonably believe violate this section, with or without notice where the situation warrants.
5. Domain control validation & DNS responsibilities
You are responsible for your domains and DNS. To issue and renew a certificate, you must add and keep in
place the delegation record we provide (for example, a CNAME to _acme-challenge). Removing or
altering that record, changing nameservers, or letting a domain lapse can prevent renewal and cause a
certificate to expire. AutoCertify relies on the correctness and availability of your DNS configuration and
on the CA and third-party systems involved; we can validate control and orchestrate issuance, but we cannot
guarantee the behavior of systems outside our control.
6. Certificate issuance — no absolute guarantees
We work hard to issue and renew certificates quickly — usually within minutes of a valid DNS record — but issuance times are best-effort and depend on DNS propagation, the certificate authority, Cloudflare and other third parties. We do not guarantee any specific issuance or renewal time, uninterrupted availability, or that a certificate will never encounter an error. We do not mark a domain as “active” unless issuance is genuinely confirmed. Except where a plan expressly includes a service-level commitment, the Service is provided without an uptime or issuance-time guarantee.
7. Plans, billing & cancellation
Current plans:
- Starter — free, for one active domain, with automatic issuance and renewal.
- Business Pro — $15 per month, for additional domains plus the API, webhooks, teams and related features.
- Scale — custom, volume-priced pricing for platforms and agencies; terms are set in a separate order or agreement.
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance in US dollars and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Except where required by law, payments already made are non-refundable, and downgrading or cancelling may reduce your domain allowance or disable features. We may change prices on a prospective basis with reasonable notice; changes apply from your next billing cycle. You are responsible for any taxes associated with your use of the Service. If and when card payments are enabled, they are processed by our payment provider, and you authorize the applicable charges.
8. API use & rate limits
API access is authenticated with scoped API keys (for example, keys prefixed ac_live_). You
are responsible for keeping keys confidential and for all activity performed with them; you can rotate or
revoke a key at any time. We apply rate limits and quotas to keep the Service reliable for everyone, and we
may adjust them. Do not attempt to exceed, evade or overwhelm these limits. Signed webhooks are delivered
with a per-endpoint secret; you are responsible for verifying signatures before acting on a payload.
9. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, documentation and the AutoCertify name and marks, belongs to Pcnaid Inc. and its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. You retain ownership of your own content and configuration; you grant us the rights needed to operate the Service for you — for example, to process your domains and DNS records to issue and renew certificates. We may use aggregated, de-identified operational data to run and improve the Service.
10. Third-party services
The Service depends on third parties, including Cloudflare (for custom hostnames, the Managed CA and certificate delivery) and Auth0 (for authentication). Your use of the Service may also be subject to those providers' terms, and their availability and behavior are outside our control. We are not responsible for third-party services, but we choose our providers carefully and work to integrate them securely.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every certificate will issue or renew without delay or failure. You use the Service at your own risk, and no advice or information obtained from us creates any warranty not expressly stated in these Terms.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pcnaid Inc. and its officers, employees and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill or business interruption, arising out of or related to the Service — even if we've been advised of the possibility. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) fifty US dollars ($50). Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Pcnaid Inc. and its personnel from any claims, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content or domains, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
14. Termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law or by our providers, or to protect the Service or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends and we may deactivate domains and certificates associated with your account; certificates already installed may stop renewing. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification and governing law — will survive.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Changes take effect when posted unless we say otherwise, and your continued use of the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Pcnaid Inc. is a Texas company, and you agree that the state and federal courts located in Texas will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have where you live.
17. Contact
